His first exhibition, Spirit Of A Place at The Drawing Room (Manila), shortlisted him in the 2012 Ateneo Art Awards, a prestigious distinction for emerging artists in the Philippines. Vermont is known for his stencil-based imagery of grit and diachronic relationships inherent in the city landscape and its heritage. His current project for Project Stage is extended in scale as he contrasts a striking picture of a flyover’s underside in Manila. This towering aerosoled piece is made out of over 5 stencil matrices and 9 hues.
