Worst Comes to Worst : Argie Bandoy and Jed Escueta

Argie Bandoy and Jed Escueta pairs up for another time for their latest suite of works collectively called ‘Worst Comes to Worst’. The two artists started working side by side in 2004 when they were both resident artists at Big Sky Mind and have exhibited in a two-man show titled ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’ at Prose Gallery in 2007. While the two have... separate distinct subjects and practices, Bandoy as a painter and Escueta as a photographer, they share a common view of art as a ‘truth’-seeking exercise. In ‘Worst Comes to Worst’, they assume a somewhat fatalistic yet genuinely hopeful stance, in the face of the current situation in art.
